Wanted people to start up a Dublin Jet-ski club 1 Year, 1 Month ago
Hi to all , I bought a Jet-ski at the start of the year and had been using it from Dunlaoghaire harbour for the last 5 months , but now with the ridiculous new bye laws you now need a licence and can only use them between 7:30pm and 10 am so basically at night when theres no-one else around , apart from the fact its probably illegal with no lights its just plain stupid , everyone should have acess to practice whatever watersports they enjoy once they do so in a fit manner , Ive heard people say jet-skiers are irresponsible , so what would they think then when a hundred and odd kids get sent out in tiny sailing boats even after they received a gale warning , which caused a large scale rescue operation to take place costing hundreds of thousands of pounds , it stinks of double standards. Id be very interested to hear back from other people who would be interested in forming a club, Ive spoken to Dennis Dillon and at the moment there are no clubs in Dublin
