The ISA are delighted to invite all participants and supporters of the Irish Powerboat and PWC community to the 2nd annual ISA Motorboat Awards Dinner which will be hosted in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire on the evening of the 4th of March 2011.  The event will ceremoniously acknowledge the competitive racing achievements made in 2010 by our fellow sports men and women.

Harry Hermon, ISA Chief Executive remarked “This event is an opportunity not only to honour our champions but to also celebrate our passion for motorboating in all its guises. The Awards Dinner will only recognise the achievements of our powerboat racing champions but it brings together everyone from the wider motorboating and PWC communities who together have contributed to making our sport what it is today”.

Throughout the evening the powerboat racing champions of Formula 2, Formula 4, P750 and T850 Vee Hulls will be honoured, as will the champions of the ISA National PWC Slalom Championships. The other important award of the night to be presented is the Motorboat Volunteer of the Year 2010.

This annual Awards Dinner is a social gathering of all those who are interested in the different facets of watersports and a place where they can exchange information, form an understanding of each other’s sport, but most importantly, it is an event where our champions can be duly honoured. Through these events we will strive to expand the participation in watersports.

The ISA Motorboat Awards Dinner will be followed by the ISA National Conference and Awards Dinner which takes place on Saturday and Sunday the 5th and 6th of March. The conference will include specific workshops and seminars covering all aspects of competitive and recreational motorboating and jet skiing. The Awards Dinner on Saturday will host the presentation of the ISA Motorboat Endeavour Award which is bestowed upon the club having made the most significant contribution to the sport.

Booking details will be available in the coming weeks.
